The group was started in 1997 by two brothers with an 8-acre commercial yard in Cheshire operating as Jalsea Marine Services Ltd. This site provided ashore and afloat leisure boat moorings and extensive boat works for both river and sea going craft. There were a number of over-winter yachts many attracted by the large sheds available. Osmosis repairs, 3M hull restoration, hi-spec painting and narrow boat and broad beam blasting and blacking, epoxy coatings and welding together with woodwork and mechanical works, craning and surveying were all carried out.
