For over 43 years Heyland Marine, our family business has specialised in the manufacture and supply of small boats and dinghies for sheltered and inland waters. We specialise in the supply of rowing boats , fishing boats , lake and pond boats and stock most of our small boats here in the UK. We have supplied traditional boats and custom boat designs for thousands of satisfied customers across the world. Due to current shipping costs we do not longer export to the USA and Canada.

Fellowship Afloat's centre is a unique place for adventure, relaxation and exploring the environment. Based on a converted lightvessel moored on the coast, it's an ideal activity venue for youth clubs, schools, churches, special needs groups and those wishing to gain sailing and power boating qualifications. Guests are served by the centre staff and expert volunteers, who form the lively Christian community which is Fellowship Afloat.

With dedicated departments all located on our own 15-acre site, Fox’s is unique amongst the majority of boatyards in that we provide a complete b oat repair and refit service in-house, with our own teams of highly skilled engineers and craftsmen, boat handlers, riggers, electricians and fabricators.

In 1951 Alan Coombes began building dinghies on the Bembridge embankment, and was joined by Peter Scott in 1956 - and so a boat building partnership was formed. As time passed and the business grew it evolved into building cruising yachts and motorboats. Technology also advanced and with the advent of glass reinforced plastic construction, the focus of the yard slowly changed from traditional boat building.
