Paul Newell Sails

Paul is a sailmaker and has lived on the Isle of Wight all his life. He has always loved sailing, and he took part in the Round Whitbread Round the World sailing race on Condor. I studied Ceramics in Stoke on Trent, and started my career in design working for Lennox china in America. I returned to London to work for Queensberry Hunt Design Consultants. Together we designed a range of bags that are comfortable, functional and have a simplicity of design. We make them by hand, in our sail loft on the Isle of Wight.

Peter Leonard Marine

Peter Leonard Marine was founded in 1970 by Peter Leonard, who now enjoys over 35 years of marine experience and a vast knowledge of most marine systems. Peter, his son (Peter junior) and his wife Maureen have worked hard to develop a pleasant picturesque boat yard, which is now capable of accommodating 150 boats on land and water. We offer a comprehensive boat storage package ashore. We can collect your vessel from your home marina, crane out, high pressure hose off and store your vessel. As a family run business, we take great care when moving all vessels afloat or ashore.

Pioneer Sailing Trust

The Pioneer Skills Centre is a boatyard established to provide young people with the opportunity to learn boat building and restoration skills. Work is focused on the restoration of historic sailing vessels. Boatyard tuition and services are implemented and supervised by two highly qualified and experienced shipwrights, both of whom have a wealth of experience and an established track record. This includes the restoration of the 1st Class Essex Smack 'Pioneer', for which the skills centre also offers maintenance and an operational base. The centre is equipped with a purpose built workshop Consultants

Plymouth Pilots

Few traditionally shaped inshore, west country boats around today can boast a pedigree stretching back 50 years. The Plymouth Pilot is one that can. We are a family run business and we see ourselves as the custodians of the Plymouth Pilot brand, charged with seeing the continuation of these cracking boats for the future. Here at Plymouth Pilots, we are a small and passionate team of boat builders. Our goal is to create YOUR perfect boat, with the requirements that specifically suit YOUR needs. Each boat is built from scratch in our workshop in Plymouth, on the same site since production
