History
FENGUIDE was built in 1930 for the Wisbech council as a pilot vessel. She served the council from 1930 until 1981, when she was only partially retired. Her name was changed from WISBECH PILOT to FENGUIDE when she retired, which was to reflect her former faithful services to the mariners of that area. After 1981, she was then re-engined and had the wheelhouse moved from centre to aft. Her primary use was for fishing out of Kings Lynn until she was bought and taken to London. She was sold in 2006 and trailered to North Devon as she was not fit for the passage at the time. Since then, quite a lot of restoration work has been undertaken including some redecking, lots of new hull planking, new coach roof and wheelhouse, a complete engine rebuild and fitting her out belowdecks for living. She has also been given a reasonable sail area as a gaff ketch.
