Living Water Mission

Some understanding of traditional wooden vessel maintenance, sailing, building and surveying. We will be building traditional clinker sailing boats in Milne Bay Province in association with our Christian Mission on Normanby Island.

Saturn Sails

Saturn sails was established in 1979 by Colin and Shelia McKenzie and John Highcock. Both Colin and John have over 40 years of sail making experience, and have been sailing a variety of boats since childhood. John is a regular face at keelboat regattas and offshore events both around the UK and further afield with many national, and international titles to his name. Greg Pitt joined the company in 2008 bringing his experience and skills to our sail making team. Greg’s background was mainly in one-design dinghies and small keelboats but is now regularly seen racing keelboats around the UK and

Survey One

Full naval architecture and surveying services. Familiar with all types of wooden vessels large or small, young or old. Traditional or modern boatbuilding techniques familiar to us. Over 30 years of experience. We have active sailors on our team.

Galgael

Drawing heavily on the Norwegian Folk School principle, GalGael's rural vision is to create a college for teaching practical skills calculated to re-connect people with their place, their culture, and with participative democracy.

Sticks & String

Shipwright and rigger specialising in historic, replica and traditional work. Projects undertaken anywhere in the UK. Sparmaking, blockmaking, rigging in rope and wire, including classic yachts and small craft. Historical and technical research, all period from classical times to 1900's. Deliveries undertaken. Wooden vessel repairs, construction, and general carpentry.

Marc's Boats

Provision of the following services: - wooden boat maintenance - repair - restoration - oar and spar making - and the building of new wooden boats using traditional boat building methods. The business is able to provide a travelling workshop facility enabling me to come to your boat and work onsite. Although the office address is listed under the Thames Estuary region I do travel and am able to provide onsite services in most regions of the UK.
