History
LADY NANCY was designed by A W Bonnersen and built in 1893 in Skovshoved, Denmark, by N H Neilsen, for English Chief Engineer F D Marshall. After 2 years, she was purchased by two Danish owners based in Copenhagen, Henze and Petersen, who named her CHRISTINA.
In 1930, she was purchased by N Lydersen of Arendal, Norway, who renamed her LADY NANCY. in 1939, she was purchased by R Stray of Arendal, who in the following year sailed her to Grimsby with 5 men to escape the German occupation of Norway, during the Second World War. After the war she remained in England under the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Yacht Club, who owned her until 1965, when she was purchased by G Hannaford, who raced her along the East Coast
In 1984, LADY NANCY was purchased by B and F Collyer, wardens of Reads Island, Upper Humber, and in 1990 she was purchased by J Green, who restored her as a Bermudan rig. Sometime after 2018, she was purchased by the current owner, who set about restoring her.
