Works begin to replace the decks on SS Nomadic
Ship will stay open to visitors during four year restoration project.
Shipshape Northern Ireland brings together traditional skills, services and facilities across Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone. It acts as a focal point connecting vessels, projects, organisations and specialists including: HMS Caroline and ss Nomadic in Belfast; the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum; the Donaghadee Heritage Preservation Company and a range of other craft from the National Register of Historic Vessels.
