What is Shipshape East?
Shipshape East brings together traditional skills, services and facilities across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. It acts as a focal point connecting vessels, projects, organisations and craftsmen including: Hunter’s Yard at Ludham; the International Boatbuilding Training College (IBTC) Ltd at Lowestoft; the Excelsior Trust; the Sutton Hoo Ship’s Company and Everson’s Wharf at Woodbridge; Harker’s Yard in Brightlingsea; the historic barges and TS Rigging at Maldon, and a range of other craft from the National Register of Historic Vessels.
