Rescue Wooden Boats are looking for volunteers to join their friendly team in Stiffkey, Norfolk.
Join the Maritime Heritage Centre team to welcome and guide visitors round the centre and the boatyard at weekends. The Maritime Heritage Centre is open from 3 April until the end of October from 11am-4pm on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays. If we have more volunteers we can open on Saturdays too! No experience needed, training is given.
Join the Education team to welcome and assist school and adult groups during the week. No experience needed, training given. We have a well-equipped Education Room in the Maritime Heritage Centre, with teaching resource packs on the story of historic lifeboat Lucy Lavers available for schools - come and see!
Help with Special Events - publicity; fundraising; stewarding display stands and merchandise stall, and guiding visitors as part of the event team on the day.
Historic Vessel Maintenance - If you're interested in more hands-on volunteering, there are occasional working parties on the boats, scraping, sanding and painting.
Bring your skills and interests along and join the team - contact us to talk about how you might like to be involved.
