Berthon has a long history of training apprentices and also supporting the development of apprenticeships across the industry. You will get the opportunity to benefit from a national and international award-winning apprenticeship programme that will aid your progression. As an apprentice, you will ‘Earn as you Learn’ with competitive rates of pay as well as a national dividend and a Berthon pension (both subject to qualification).
We value learning and development and encourage our apprentices to sign up to do their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) programme through DofE Direct as well as covering the costs. By doing their DofE, our apprentices gain essential skills and attributes including confidence, resilience, and leadership that support them in life and work. They also give back to our local community, helping individuals and charitable organisations through their DofE volunteering.

The first stage of the selection process is to complete the application form. If selected, you will attend an assessment, trade test and interview at our training provider Bournemouth & Poole College. Successful applicants at this stage will then be invited to Berthon for a formal interview and tour of the facilities.
