The company was formed in 1982 in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, to provide a limited range of electrical connection units for park operators developing their pitches to accommodate the increasing demand for electricity. Over the years the product range has expanded enormously and CPES Ltd have been at the forefront of innovations within the designing, developing and marketing of the humble camping control unit throughout Europe to installing computerised Automatic Meter Reading systems allowing you the freedom to monitor and control the consumption of electricity and other utilities at each pitch.
The Freebody family have been trading on the Thames for over 300 years, and from our present site at Hurley as boatbuilders and restorers since the 1930s. We design and build every type of launch from the smallest dinghy through to electric canoes, slipper launches, saloon launches and steam launches. In addition to our new building works, we are famous for our restorations of classic launches, most notably the Thames passenger steamers 'Windsor Belle' and 'Alaska', the 1960s iconic Italian Riva runabouts, and the conservation work carried out to 'Miss England' for display at the Science
