Cowes Maritime Museum

Entrance to Cowes Maritime Museum is free of charge. From ship building to sailing Cowes Maritime Museum introduces the town’s important history. On display are model boats, photographs and artefacts. Cowes Maritime Museum also has a large archive of photographs and plans. The archive is held off site and is available to researchers by appointment. The museum has a small exhibition area that currently displays model boats from the Maritime Collection. The Company’s primary goal is to be recognised as the supplier of choice in the covers, marquees and decorative linings market. The firm is a medium sized organisation currently employing 75 people from its base in Southampton. Dan Hussey

Dan has experience on boat building and understands boats. The majority of his time is spent making chairs, but he specialises in steam bent components and has been commissioned by The Excelsior Trust to make steam bent hoops from green ash.

Davis's Boat Yard

Established in 1964, Davis’s is a family run boatyard with dry storage for up to 250 vessels and new pontoon built in 2012 with 82 berths. Yard services include storage, craning, high pressure cleaning and mast lifts. Pontoon Berth holders have access to a designated toilet & shower block and individual electricity meters. Dry storage also has access to electricity and water across the premesis. On site we also have a marine engineer, surveyor, upholsterer and brokerage for all your boating needs.
