R W Davis are both designers and builders of all types of commercial and leisure craft and experienced restorers of traditional steel and wooden vessels.

Our new boats include sea going motor barges and steel trawler yachts designed in house but we are always prepared to submit quotations for building to customers own plans. We have restored many types of craft from large commercial vessels to 19th century launches and we specialise in the repair and restoration of RNLI wooden lifeboats.

Our extensive facilities include, several large boat building sheds, a large dry dock, a covered wet dock, permanent crane, machine shop and joinery shop. We have ten staff, most of whom have served their time with us and covering all marine trades. The company also operates a towing and salvage section which recovers sunken and abandoned boats from all areas. We are located at Saul on the Gloucester and Sharpness canal, eight miles from Sharpness docks and easily accessible for larger vessels.
