The Noble System of hollow wooden mast construction was invented by a Mr Barry Noble in Bristol England in 1986 primarily for unstayed masts on such boats as Galway Blazer and Jester.

He sold the rights to the idea to Mr R Mason who successfully applied for a patent having first proved that it was a unique system of hollow wooden tube/mast construction, Patent no 2112706.

Mr mason then went on with his son to form Noble Masts, and it is still the father and son team that build the Masts that are now supplied all over the world.

Rather than grow and lose the personal touch that we offer our customers we have chosen to stay small and operate from two converted barges in Bristol Docks were we feel that our attention to detail is second to none

Family business supplying hollow and solid masts and spars for over 25 years. From sail training ships to America's Cup yachts and all in between.
