Mick West Marine Engineer

Mick West started up Mick West Marine Engineering around 20 years ago after serving 15 years with a Volvo Penta main agent.

And then some years later, Mike joined his father straight out of college and enrolled in a traditional style apprenticeship. Mike soon realised that there was an ever growing need for project management as their clients wanted to enjoy their leisure time and not chase multiple trades for completion dates. From this, Mike started Marine Care Services. And only after a couple of years it was apparent that with their hard work and great reputation, the two companies needed to amalgamate and expand into larger premises being rebranded as West Marine Services Ltd. They soon found that employing a wider range of skills allowed them to keep there reasonable price structure and a far higher quality of work.
