History
Boats like MIDDLEWICH were used for clearing frozen canals; ice to the sides was cracked by rocking the boat and at the same time ice ahead was split by hauling the stem bodily into it. MIDDLEWICH is currently exhibited at Blists Victorian Town, Ironbridge.
