History

The Baltic exchange known as the Baltic air was based down in Salcombe for her time in the service. Her ON964, she was launch 258 times and saved 76 lives.

She capsized in 1983 with no loss of Life, however she did not have the airbag to self right. Once this had happened they didn’t want to take a risk again. So they put to the test when Baltic Exchange was aiding a dinghy which had overturned in a force 9 gale on 10 April 1983. The lifeboat capsized too, but the air bag automatically inflated. The crew rescued their one-member who was washed overboard and then put into Brixham, the dinghy crew having been winched off by helicopter. She is currently undergoing new restoration to look like how she used to by myself chloe Clevett and Chris Pullar who are the current owners of her. We are very delighted to own her as she is very special to us and our friends down in salcombe who want her home. We would love her to look like how to used to.
