History

EMILY was built between 1925 and 1927 by Blackmore, M. W. & Sons Ltd. of Bideford, to operate as a passenger boat. At some point she operated out of Scarborough into the North Sea.

At some point, she was moved to Gloucestershire where she operated in Gloucester Docks as HEATHER SPRAY. In 1992, she was purchased by The Bristol Ferry Boat Company and named after the owner's first daughter.

In 2023, she was refurbished by John Raymond-Barker, of RB Boatbuilding, having the low roof removed from the mid-section and being revamped to suit the needs of Bristol's visitors and local commuters.

EMILY is currently licensed to operate between Pulteney Weir, Bath, and Cumberland Basin, Bristol.
