History
MERO is a yacht of carvel pitch pine construction and was built by A Silver Ltd of Rosneath in 1934. She was used by the Ministry of Food during the Second World War collecting plankton in the sea lochs to ascertain if it could be used as a food source.
The vessel has been subject of an extensive rebuild and renovation over the last 20 years and is now in excellent condition.
