History
RED MOON was built as an Admiralty MFV type 601 by J Bolsons of Poole in 1944 and is a vessel of wooden construction with a Gardner 6L3 diesel engine.
Ther vessel was commissioned into the Clyde fleet in 1946 and sold to the fishing fleet as FR314. After fishing from other ports she was converted to a private sailing vessel in Wales. During the 1980s she made many trips to Europe as a private yacht.
