History

LINNET was built by John Tyrrell & Sons of Arklow, Ireland, in 1945 as a fishing trawler and is a vessel of wooden carvel construction with a Gardner 6LB diesel engine.  She was first registered in Arklow, then Dublin in 1958 followed by Wexford in 1967.

In the 1970s she was based at Lowestoft and later at Fleetwood.  In 1982 she had a refit and transferred to Brightlingsea in Essex.  In the 1990s she was based at Faversham in Kent and then Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey.

In 2007 she was sold and retired from commercial work and underwent a large scale conversion for private use.
