History

MFV140 JOSEPH was built as an Admiralty Motor Fishing Vessel in 1946 by Kris Cruisers Limited of Isleworth. She was originally with the Royal Navy Port Auxiliary Service in the Clyde and Western Isles area. In 1981 or 1982 she was allocated to the London Division of the Royal Naval Reserve. After decommissioning in 1988 she passed into private ownership in 2013.

Update, October 2023: Owner reported vessel in process of being broken up as the boatyard where she was stored wanted her gone. Before this she was in poor condition and had been offered for sale / free as restoration project for several months, but with no success.

Although this vessel has been broken up, we are lacking information on this vessel.  If you have any details on her history, please contact us.
