History

LOOK AHEAD II is a passenger vessel of carvel timber construction with a larch hull and a Ford Sabre diesel engine installed in 1991. Her builder was M W Blackmore & Sons of Bideford and her date of build was 1960.

Her first owner was a Mr Swift of Paignton who owned a hotel and used the boat to take his guests out on trips.

Subsequently sold to owners in St Mawes, Cornwall in 1969, Plymouth in 1997, Tewkesbury in 2003 and sold to her current owner in 2008 and returned to the River Fal in Cornwall.

Update, February 2024: Vessel for sale. Location: Brixham, Devon
