History
ZAIRE was built in 1936 by Hugh McLean & Son at Govan and is a gentlemans motor cruiser of timber carvel construction with a BMC Commander 2.2 diesel engine. Her original owner was Robert Barr Jnr. Around 1939 she was owned by ASH Whitelock. Later owners of date unspecified were Mr & Mrs Derriman followed by Mr Michael Thorpe. She was bought by her present owner in 1984.
