History
LYNX is a narrow boat, built by W.J. Yarwood & Sons Ltd. at Northwich in 1935. Her British Waterways number was 62732. She has wrought iron sides with an elm bottom and a pointed bow. She currently has a counter stern, although she began life as a butty and thus would have had a pointed stern. Her engine is a Lister HR2 diesel with two cylinders and 32 horsepower. LYNX was rebuilt in the 1970s and the engine and counter stern were fitted at that time. She was part of the Star class and was commissioned by the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company Ltd.
