COULD YOU BE OUR NEW SPONSOR?

National Historic Ships UK is seeking organisations to support our 2025 Photography Competition and Awards film.

Our annual Photography Competition is now in its 16th year.  It's always hugely popular, with hundreds of entries from around the UK and beyond.  We're looking for sponsors to offer a cash prize for one of the four award categories, and a sponsor to cover the cost of, or provide trophies for, the four category winners.

We're also seeking sponsors for our Awards film, which will be filmed at a major UK maritime heritage site (tbc!) and premiere on YouTube in November. As well as our Photography Competition, we also announce the winners of our Excellence in Maritime Conservation and Marsh Volunteer Awards, celebrate our Flagships of the Year, and go behind the scenes at our host venue. Last year's event was filmed in Windermere, and previous awards have been filmed at Historic Dockyard Chatham, and aboard HMY Britannia in Edinburgh and HMS Belfast on the Thames.

Switching from an in-person Awards ceremony to a digital Awards event in 2020 means not only that our wide range of winners from all around the UK can participate in the Awards film, but it can be watched by thousands more viewers too.  However, filming at different locations is expensive, with travel and accommodation for our presenter and two-person film crew costing almost as much as production of the film itself.  Hence we are looking for new sponsors to help cover the costs of filming.

NHS-UK are open to expressions of interest from all types of organisations - you don't need a connection with either photography or maritime heritage.  Current sponsors include Beckett Rankine; Classic Boat magazine, the Marsh Charitable Trust; Fat Beehive; Bloomsbury Nautical Publishing; and Engraving Studios.  Sponsors' logos will appear on our Awards promotional material and social media throughout the year, as well as onscreen during the film itself.  We'll also share your social media posts with our 17,000+ followers across Facebook, X and Instagram.

There are sponsorship opportunities at a range of levels, so please contact us for details.
