History:
50’ ex fishing lugger built by Gilbert & Pascoe of Porthleven, Cornwall. The vessel fished out of Newlyn from 1930 to to 1939 as PZ17. In 1939 she was requisitioned for war service and is believed to have served in Scotland as a harbour patrol vessel. After the war she was sold on to Brixham and was registered BM17. She ended her fishing days in Fleetwood or the Isle of Man in 1979.
Under current ownership, a complete rebuild was carried out 1999-2008, and she has undergone extensive renovation since. She was also converted to a three-masted standing lug rig. This eye-catching rig allows for short handed sailing and she has cruised extensively, including Greece, the Azores and the Outer Hebrides.
Her generous accommodation lends itself well to large groups for extended cruising and events and would suit the charter or sail cargo industry, having a registered tonnage certificate of 7.2 tons. A very comfortable live-aboard with beautiful craftsmanship, she is currently afloat in West Cork, Ireland on her own mooring.
With a new solid deck , engine and rig overhaul and recent haulout (including some new planking above the water, caulking, fresh anodes and antifoul), she awaits a new owner.
