DUNLEARY II was built by J Samuel White of Cowes, Isle of Wight, as ON 814, a Watson Class lifeboat of teak double diagonal construction. She served first at Dún Laoghaire, Ireland, until 1967 when replaced by a new lifeboat, then subsequently at Lochinver, Plymouth, Cowes and Troon until sold out of service in 1974.  Whilst in RNLI service she was launched 138 times and saved 145 lives. After de-commissioning she was converted for private use by J Hinks & Son of Appledore.

Now used as a houseboat in Bristol, DUNLEARY II has a living area with heater and sofa, forward sleeping area for 2, and rear galley with shower/ toilet.  Some maintenance was really undertaken to her engines in dry dock, and the vessel returned to her mooring under her own steam, with both engines working.  The mooring is not included in the sale, so if you wanted to keep her in Bristol, you would need to liaise directly with the Harbour Master.
