The Exeter Heritage Harbour Group has organised their first major event - The Heritage Harbour Festival 2023.
Taking place over five days, events include maritime-themed talks and walks, family crafts and activities, live theatre and music, and a Maritime Market.
This will culminate in Festival Sunday on the 28th May with cannon firing, theatrical events, 'Songs of the Sea', outdoor projected images of the harbour's history on the facade of The Custom House and even the arrival of 'Diana Dors' to recreate her 1957 re-opening of The Prospect Inn! In addition there will be a range of stalls from interested organisations including The Britannia Sailing Trust, Topsham Museum, The South West Maritime History Society, Friends of Exeter Ship Canal, and The Canal & Quay Trust.
