History

Built 1935 by Harland & Woolff at Woolwich for the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company, ATLAS is a narrow boat of the Star Small Woolwich class. She is of composite construction and has a Lister HR2 diesel engine.

She was passed from the GUCCC to the British Waterways carrying fleet on nationalisation and became part of the BW maintenance fleet whn commercial carrying ceased.

ATLAS has been restored to working condition and forms part of the Working Boat Project for British Waterways West Midlands.
