History

Built in 1935 by W J Yarwood of Northwich, LEO is a Star Class Small Northwich Butty narrowboat. She was built for the Grand Union Canal fleet and was passed to the British Waterways carrying fleet on nationalisation in 1948 and then to the British Waterways maintenance fleet on cessation of commercial carrying. LEO now forms part of the British Waterways West Midlands Working Boat Project.
