History

Built in 1939 by Philip & Sons Limited, Dartmouth, 3963 is a harbour service launch of timber construction with a Foden FD6 inboard diesel engine installed in 1955. She was allocated for service at Devonport Naval Dockyard in 1940 and subsequently decommissioned and sold to the present owner in 1964. She is presently laid up in Essex.
