History

DEFIANT was built as a harbour tug, of riveted construction. She operated as BECKTON II and belonged to the Gaslight & Coke Company, before being sold to North Thames Gas. During her career, she was also owned by Palmer of Gravesend and used as the nipparound. She was last reported as derelict.
