Captain David Newberry MSc Royal Navy
David Newberry retired from the Royal Navy in 1997 after 32 years service in the engineering specialisation. He then joined HMS Warrior 1860 as Chief Executive and Company Secretary of the Warrior Preservation Trust, the charity responsible for the preservation, finances and day to day running of the ship.
Outside the ship he was a Director of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Ltd, the company responsible for the commercial operation of the dockyard, and a member of the Maritime Curators Group. He is currently a Trustee of the HMS Whimbrel (1942-49) Battle of the Atlantic Trust.
He retired from HMS Warrior in March 2006.
